Renowned watch Maison, Bulgari is celebrating their 140th anniversary with a series of their popular silhouette, the Octo Finissimo in two new hue-ways. This award winning design is now getting a significant facelift by renovating the dial on the time teller.
What lives as an inspiration from the Renaissance era, is the sketh themed designed that adorns the face of the Octo Finissimo, which gives it a different touch from its predecessors. Leaning on their Italian roots, Bulgari recruits their product creation executive director, Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, to give life to this series with the detailed drawing that lives at the heart of the watch.
The series features two automatic renditions dubbed the Octo Finissimo Automatique BVL 138 Sketch, is offered in rose gold and a stainless-steel version. The rose gold option is limited to just 70 examples while the steel edition has 280 examples. Inside these renditions are the 40mm-wide watch case that accompanies the in-house BVL 138 caliber with a 60-hour-power-reserve. A unique third option, the Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT BVL 318 Sketch, has yet to receive an official debut but is themed after the same concept. This version is offered in steel and is encased in steel and powered by the ultra-slim BCl 318 Manufacture movement.
Bulgari is offering the Octo Finissimo Automatique BVL 138 Sketch as the cheaper of the choses due to it being priced at €20,800 EUR ( around $22,763 USD). Meanwhile, for the Octo Finissimo Automatique BVL 138 Sketch, the rose gold style is offered at €51,000 EUR (around $55,812 USD) while the steel version is priced at €17,800 EUR (around $19,479 USD).
