Hermes takes to Milan for the Milan Design Week with their own collection of interior design signatures and new concepts. Steeped in luxury, the collection is a homage to the brand’s history of craftsmanship and design.
The French design house tended to signature essentials for home decor and styling that evoke the very essence of the Hermes aesthetic. The collection utilizes natural textures and raw materials such as brick, stone, slate, wood and compacted earth. Unique adds to the series lean in towards the brand’s appreciation for the equestrian aesthetic like the highlighted jockey silk jersey. The jockey jersey is detailed in a silk material with a geometric motif design. More interior design related pieces include buckets, baskets, modernist lounge chair and an equestrian-inspired lamp and tableware. The lamps have a vivid relation to the equestrian experience as there are design notes such as lunge reins, riding crop and show-jumping poles, which all aid the slender stem and linen shade. As for the tableware, baskets and buckets, these are all hand-stitched pieces enhancing the quality of each item.
