New Jersey’s very own, 070 Shake has resurfaced with her official announcement of her highly anticipated album dubbed “Petrichor“, marking her first studio album since 2022.
The announcement began with a surprise snippet released on Shake’s social media, which then later turned into the release of the official leading single for the album titled “Winter Baby/New Jersey Blues“. The theatrical double single is a great introduction to what we can expect from the upcoming album that has been scheduled to release November 15th.
The dual-single is a cinematic soundtracking to bar-based visual presented by Shake. Leading is the crooning record ‘Winter Baby‘ which plays as a 70’s swing style record. Perfectly displayed in the old-school aesthetic visual directed by Bennett Watanabe, Winter Baby features 070 Shake’s current partner Lily-Rose Depp, as her leading love interest in the video. The second half of the single is the more intense side dubbed ‘New Jersey Blues’. Shake maintains a nostalgic theme in sound and vibe with both singles. New Jersey Blues is more synth-melody heavy while giving Beach Boy chord play and anthem energy.
