NYC-based fashion and design house Aime Leon Dore (ALD) continues their shared design journey with luxury automotive-maker Porsche to unveil their latest collaboration on a bespoke restoration project on the Porsche 993 Turbo.
Design heads leading the charge on this collaboration include names like ALD Creative Director Teddy Santis, Marc Shammah, Justin Placek and more. The custom car is presented in ALD’s signature designs while being featured in a custom Mulberry Green exterior. The car showcases many traditional performance and design features but also highlights custom additions like a whale-tail rear wing, front splitter and upgraded exhaust. Noted luxury touches to round out the exterior include 18-inch Porsche Turbo Twist rims painted in matching Mulberry Green with gold accents, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires.
As for the interior, a refined monochromatic aesthetic is also applied with a dark brown leather and lambswool cabin. A racer style addition is found with the hardback seats, accompanied with matching carpets and custom logos embroidered on the headrests. To showcase their love for their roots, an iconic Queens landmark known as the Unisphere is designed and placed as a brass gear knob. Added is a Door sills bear the phrase “A team from outta Queens with the American dream,” further signifying ALD’s origins.
The bespoke 993 will officially debut on November 22–23 and will be displayed at ALD’s London flagship on 32 Broadwick Street.
