Design| Dimore Studio Unveils The “Orient Express” Evoking A 1960’s Golden Age Theme

Based out of Milan, is design firm Dimore Studio, who has recently been commissioned by Orient Express to design a luxury Italian styled train dubbed the “La Dolce Vita“. The entire aesthetic takes notes from the amazing minds of design that adorned the “golden age of the 1960s”. Features of this rail can be described by the overly elegant interior that lends to high luxury and flair.

The La Dolce Vita houses 18 suites with 12 deluxe cabins and a signature La Dolce Vita Suite. Detail is very defined in each corridor as they are carefully designed with ornate fabrics, playfully-pungent patterns, rich colorways and is all highlighted by luxury wood and metallic accessories. The Deluxe cabin choices are adorned with mirroed back walls and wooden slated ceilings. Adding to the features list for the Deluxe is a patterned sofa, double bed and a private bathroom.

Rounding the train’s new design off is the three-Michelin-starred Chef Heinz Beck led restaurant that is a communal space for guest while continuing the aesthetic and Italian styling that has been present through out. The dining car offers a jewel-box experience, boasting reflective chrome walls, striped wall-wall carpeting, and mid-century inspired seating upholstered with bold orange leather.

The La Dolce Vita Orient Express has a soft series of itineraries that include a Tuscan vineyard trip, a Venice and Portofino trip, and a Rome to Sicilly trip. Further details on booking can be found at the official website.
