With Air Max Day closing in, Nike has decided to celebrate the annual event with another step into the future with the intended release of their 3D-printed release. The Nike Air Max 1000 is a special release that combines Nike’s design aesthetic and Zellerfeld’s technological input. Offered in the “Black/Volt” colorway, this release reinforces Nike’s move towards experimenting new materials and designs.
The Nike Air Max 1000 silhouette is the first successful attempt to place Nike’s designs into a 3D-printable shoe for market. Zellerfeld is the leading brand in 3D technology for shoe design and meshing that advancement with the brilliance of Nike’s global design style makes for a perfect collaboration. Subtle features mark this release as a fashionable advancement such as the bold “Black & Volt” colorway boosting the laceless model. The slip-on one piece design is presented in a stealth based black that is exposed by the vibrant green Volt color that appears from the exposed Air unit built directly into the heel. Added notes from the 3D design process include the web-like pattern alongside the wavy mid-sole are additives in the 3D printing process produced by Zellerfeld.
Due to the high technological nature of the release, the Nike Air Max 1000’s will be handled via a dedicated raffle system to ensure that customers are offered a fair chance to purchase a pair. The Nike Air Max 1000 “Black/Volt” is available exclusively on Zellerfeld.com. The raffle is currently open as Air Max Day kicks off tomorrow (March 26th).
