Cars| Kith’s Owner Ronnie Fieg Introduced the New BMW Collab: A 1981 M1 E26

Renowned designer and owner of fashion powerhouse KITH, Ronnie Fieg once again showcases his proficient design skills as he teams with the BMW team for a bespoke 1981 M1 E26. Marking the two brand’s third collaboration, this latest release displays their eye for innovation and design.

Taking to the iconic first edition form BMW’s M Division, the M1 is reimagined by Ronnie who creates a perfect celebration series. The customized touch-ups went through a year-long reconstruction, which utilized original components sourced from BMW archives. Examples are all over the car for instance the exterior features the coveted Techno Violet paint which is a very rare finish. Kith brilliantly placed tags and M-Series badges on the rear decklip.

Fieg placed great detail for the interior just as much as the exterior with features like the BMW Individual Black Merino Leather with Kith’s signature monogram pattern. This intricate design embellishes the seats, headrests, gear shift, door inserts and floor mats, adding a luxurious touch to the classic sports car. For the more mechanical side of things, under the hood lies the original performance prowess. Powered by a 3.5L inline-six engine, it delivers 277 hp and a top speed of approximately 165 mph.

The one-off car will debut on December 6, 2024, during the Kith for BMW Showcase at the 1111 Lincoln Road parking garage in Miami Florida.
