• Queens, New York based and inspired designer brand Aimé Leon Dore, has revealed their latest collection campaign dubbed “35th St” which represents the side of Queens that helped develop the styling and uniqueness that Aimé Leon Dore brings to this industry. Utilizing video and photography to present this Fall/Winter collection, Aimé Leon Dore reaches out to longtime friend Justin Chung, who is a NYC based photographer himself. The collaboration of creative perspective was evidently parallel through-out the lookbook, even though the brand and photographer derived from completely different aesthetics. Queens was ideal for shooting being the corner stone for the creative process Aimé Leon Dore knows to be necessary.

35th Street Campaign encapsulates the warmth of Winter, mimics the unbend breezy of Autumn and maintains the styling that Aimé Leon Dore has mastered. The collection previews an assemblage of fleece based products like the Shawl Coat, Half Zip Poly Hoodie, Poly Vest and many more. Poly Knit Crews and Mock Neck Half Zips also are featured in this collection. 35th St Campaign lookbook makes use of QueensBridge as the photos captures the known Aimé Leon Dore model in the essence of Queens streets. Street corners, business fronts, favorite dinning venues and more make the visual listing and Sir Chung captures the vibes of the city in each shot. To accompany the lookbook, Aimé Leon Dore entrusted yet another childhood friend, Thuan Tran, to create 15 second videos in the essence of Queens. Shot in a family owned diner, the video calmly previews 35th St pieces such as the Fleece Poly Vest and Tweed Shawl Coat.

December 3rd, 1945 marks the day which Locked Superconstellation L749 aircraft of TWA company soared in the sky and made it’s first transatlantic trip from Washingtion to Paris. This spawned an era which inspired high-end luxury luggage and accessory brand Moreca Atelier to curate the Phoenix Transatlantic collection that embodies this exploration time period perfectly. Within the collection, each component is equipped with it’s own unique set of details and elements. Taking cues from the L749 aircraft’s design, the modern world-traveler will find excitement in toting around pieces crafted with an aged aesthetic and vegetable-tanned leather.

Music| Sango Announces Da Rocinha 3 Release & Drops A Single

• Paying attention to time is a skill set the AGO squad has well established and with that ability these guys are very aware of music placement. Sango, Soulection’s golden child, is one component of the AGO team who has a large enough cult-like fan base to where when his music drops …. Oh it matters. Known for his supremely popular EP series Da Rocinha & Da Rocinha 2, Sango has placed his fans on a rehab style restraint for the highly anticipated #3 edition if this culture shaping musical series. Just recently, way of record label Soulection, was the sigh of releif reporting for the official release date for Da Rocinha 3! November 10th ladies and gents is the day where Brazilian cultural icons most memorable works will get remixed with 808’s & American favorite R&B and pop tracks. Sango has mastered the recreation of vibes and musical infusion of different genres. To give fans a sample Sango turned to trusted Soundcloud to release a single from the upcoming project.

Dubbed “Agorinha” (in Portuguese translates to “Just Now”) this hard-hitting, bass heavy track maintains the reputation that the previous hits like “Me dê Amor” & “Vai Vai“. Sango undoubtly has educated indie fans and artist on how to properly refix tracks while paying homage to the origin. • Always delivering the best in quality and design is Hong Kong based high fashion brand Shanghai Tang, who has yet again curated a masterful collection for the Autumn/Winter season. The brief visual above from a Fashion Week showcase details the collections premier pieces which received some upscale enhancements such as their cardigans, blazers, pull-overs, and jackets. Giving the history of the brand and their relationships with fabric retailers, Shanghai Tang resorts to some of the finest in fabrics to add to this collection. Cashmere, Wool, Lattice, and many Poly Blend features are showcased in the collection. Dressing like a gentleman or a lavish lady is not all about brands, but Shanghai Tang is one brand name that has built their legacy of the fine collaboration of Chinese artistry and the fabrics and materials that their land provides. Pinpointing some of their favorite features are their Wool Blend Double Face Blazer, which single button closes after the jacket is meet completely with both wings extended along with the lapel. Fit to the individuals unique build, the blazer is meant to not simply drape over the body but is tailored to meet all the intricate corners and turns in the build of the carrier. Continuing with the Wool fabric use, is the Wool Polyamid Quilted Tech Blazer, which is featured as the second blazer in the “Shop The Runway” video above. This blazer choice is crafted with buttons that descend from the very collar line of the blazer to the conclusion of the jacket, but left with a subtle opening. Made from hi-tech wool blend fabric, this diamond quilted jacket is perfect for those who demand both style and convenience. Footwear| A First Look at the Afew x ASICS Gel Lyte III “Koi”

• Hailing from Germany is renown sneaker store Afew, which recently collaborated with athletic sneaker brand ASICS for a new iteration of their ever popular Gel Lyte 3 retro running shoe. Afew’s hometown of Dusseldorf, has a proven Japanese based community (second largest after Japan) and to pay homage to the history installed in this community, Afew drew inspiration from the infamous Japanese koi carp. The Afew x ASICS Gel Lyte III “Koi is presented in a special wooden box, inspired by a classic Japanese Bento Box, and includes two extra pairs of specially designed laces (wasabi and soy sauce!), a white dust-bag and some Afew x ASICS chopsticks. Stay tune for the whole package will be released on Japan Day 2015 (May 30), and comes with a handy booklet explaining the full story behind the celebration.

Music| Watch Questlove Bring the Funk to Havana in the Documentary ‘Quest for Cuba’

• The Roots’ Band drummer & DJ Questlove, journeys to the beautiful Havana, Cuba with only his wit for music and his turntables, as he fulfills his judicious mission to deliver good vibes and great music. During this voyage Quest is joined by a Cuban Hip-Hop artist,  Brebaje Man, who opened for The Roots during a show over a decade ago. This trip visited many notable stops such as Club America and EGREM studios,  home to where Buena Vista Social Club was recorded.

• As big fans of the vibe of all of the ACE Hotels, we were happy to see this write-up on Yatzer of the Panama City location, the American Trade Hotel. Designed by ACE veterans Commune Design, the hotel is a fresh, airy space which incorporates materials and design details native to the region. With hand-painted patterned tiles, floors made from sunken logs salvaged from the canal, and a mix of antiques and contemporary furnishings, the resulting design is a refreshing combination of expert attention to traditional detail and a stylish and hip aesthetic. Art| Jean Claude LeBlanc “Roman Objects” Collection

• Canadian design studio JCL – which is named after designer Jean Claude LeBlanc – recently launched the “Roman Objects” collection. A heedfully selection of designs highlight the sumptuous qualities of marble and brass, using a ebullient geometric style to great effect. For the construction, brass spikes are individually drilled and bonded into white carrara marble, resulting in a memorable juxtaposition of materials. What’s more, all items from this collection are able to stand individually, or work together as a group. Engulfed in the theme, the pieces seen invites fans into the Roman world.

The lookbook sets a tone for the collection as the setting is familiar to that of ancient Roman homes. Oak-wood furniture and complementing marble tables set an aura for this display. • Japanese label 45RPM today released the lookbook of its new Spring / Summer 2015 women and men. The brand continues to reinterpret the classic American style while applying the Japan inspired technique. Each piece is produced in Japan in the best materials and with great attention to details: jackets, shirts, pants, dresses, scarves, hats, etc. This collection accentuates the designs made popular in America in the arly 20’s and 30’s. The color patterns and unique stitching holds to the more recent apporach of tailoring but never forgets the genisis of fashion.

The Lookbook takes a Japanses couple to a mid-western based enviroment where they present pieces from this collection in a very vinatge setting.
